Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Ydesigners collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website, the plugins sold here, and the licensing system behind them.

Who we are

This website and the services described on it are operated by Ydesigners. Every enquiry about this policy comes through the contact form, which reaches us directly.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form

Your name, email address, and anything you choose to put in the message — optionally your website URL, company name, budget range and timeline. We use this only to reply to you and to quote on work. It is not added to a marketing list unless you separately ask to be.

When you buy a plugin

Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider. we never see or store your card details. What reaches us is the information needed to issue and support a license: your name, email address, the product purchased, and your license key.

When you activate a plugin license

The licensing system records the domain names where a license is activated, the dates of activation and deactivation, and the plugin version in use. This exists to enforce the domain limits of the plan you bought and to deliver updates. It does not read, transmit or store the content of your website.

When a plugin checks for updates

Plugins periodically contact our license server to ask whether a newer version exists. That request includes your license key, the site domain and the installed version number. No site content, user data or database contents are sent.

AI features in plugins

Plugins with AI features use a bring-your-own-key model. Your API key is stored in your own WordPress installation, and requests go from your site directly to the AI provider you chose. Your prompts, your content and your API key never pass through our servers and we never see them. What you send is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy.

When you visit this website

Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps), plus analytics if you accept it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies if you consent to them. You can refuse non-essential cookies and the site will still work. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

Who else handles your data

We keep the list of third parties as short as we can. Currently:

  • Web hosting — our hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs.
  • Payment and checkout — our payment provider, which processes purchases and holds your billing details under its own policy.
  • Email — our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence.
  • Analytics — our analytics provider.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

Some of the providers above are based in other countries, so your information may be processed outside your own. [Have a lawyer confirm the transfer basis for EU/UK customers before publishing this section.]

How long we keep things

  • Contact enquiries — 24 months from our last exchange, then deleted.
  • Client project records — for as long as needed to support the work, plus any period required for tax and accounting.
  • License and activation records — for the life of the license, plus a reasonable period afterwards for support and refund handling.
  • Server logs — 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete it, where we’re not required to keep it
  • Give you a copy in a portable format
  • Stop or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave

Send the request through the contact form and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, access to systems holding personal information is restricted, and license data is stored on servers we control. No system is perfectly secure, but we don’t collect information we don’t need, which is the most effective protection available.

Children

This site and these products are intended for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will be notified by email.
