Disclaimer

Short version: the articles here are written from real projects and we try hard to get them right, but your site isn’t our site. Test things before you run them on something that matters.

General information only

The articles, guides and technical write-ups on this site are published for general information. They are not professional advice for your specific situation, and reading them doesn’t create a client relationship between us. For advice on your own site, get in touch and we’ll talk about it properly.

Technical instructions and code

Articles here contain database queries, code snippets and configuration changes. These come from real work, but WordPress sites differ enormously in theme, plugins, hosting and history.

  • Take a full backup first. Every time, not just when it looks risky.
  • Test on a staging copy before touching a live site.
  • Understand what a command does before running it. Database changes are rarely reversible without that backup.

We’re not liable for data loss, downtime or damage arising from following instructions published here. When we’re engaged to do the work ourselves, the terms of service apply instead.

No guarantee of results

Where an article or case study reports an outcome — a speed improvement, a reduction in page weight, a change in indexing — those figures come from the specific site described, at that time. They are not a prediction of what will happen on yours.

Search performance in particular depends on factors nobody controls, including how search engines change. Nothing here guarantees rankings, traffic or revenue, and we don’t offer such guarantees in client work either.

Plugins and products

Plugins sold here are described as accurately as we can manage, and every one runs on our own sites. What they will and won’t do, how licensing works and how refunds are handled is covered in the terms and conditions and on the plugins page.

Third-party tools and services

We name specific hosts, plugins, AI providers and services in articles when they’re relevant. Those mentions reflect our experience at the time of writing. We don’t control them, their pricing or their quality, and a recommendation isn’t a warranty. Always check current terms and pricing yourself.

External links

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We don’t control their content and am not responsible for it.

Accuracy over time

WordPress, hosting platforms and search engines change constantly. An article accurate when written may be out of date later. Check the publication date, and if something has clearly gone stale, tell us — we’d rather fix it than leave it wrong.
